The Clear Lake Falcons Girls soccer team has had a great season finishing 13-8-3. When entering district, the team was already handed half of their loses and wasn’t expected to do well but as soon as the lights came on, the fans poured in, and the other team stepped on the field, it was game time.

Throughout district the girls team finished with an 8-4 record breaking their way through the tough opponents and making it into playoffs. Having a total of 6 seniors and the rest underclassmen this young team has had determination and hard work ethic all year.

“When the season first started, I could always see something special in the way we practiced and the way we communicated on the field. Our coaches always supported us and if you ask anyone on the team, we believed in them as well.” – Catherine Tilley, said.

Although the team had enough wins to advance there was one tiny problem that stopped all the progress of the Lady Falcons team throughout the year. (to be continued after talking with head coach)

Clear Falls, Clear Springs, Clear Creek, and Alvin high school all advanced to playoffs. When the Falcons were given word that they were not going to be awarded with a playoff appearance the coaches and team were devastated.

Seniors such as Chloe Vinson, Sarah Chang, Julia Wu, Esther Yoon, Llana Yoon, and Victoria Cox were unaware of this tragic ending to their senior season, but the younger Lady Falcons are bound to be back to the playoffs again next year.
