Sweet butterfly
Hello you sweet little thing
Fly as you do
Your wings sparkle in dew
Woken by morning light
I’ll follow you quietly
Tiptoe behind you
You treat me genuine, true
I’ll treat you right
Hold you in my delicate touch
Softly caress your skin
You soothe my soul, heal my sin
Hold onto me tight
Fly
Soar above, I know you can
Leave your problems here with me
You will go far, I’ll make sure
May your feathers shine
Each wing laden with golden light
It blinds me, but i can’t look away
Your splendor enraptures me in a stupor
I am drunk on you
I can’t go as far as you
My tired legs can only travel the land
But i know you’ll tell me of it all
And i will listen devotedly
From down here, I’ll watch
You turn to silhouette, swallowed by the sky
I’ll remember you forever
Return to heaven
Of the grasses
O’ maiden of grass
More of a switch than an axe
You cut like a thistle
Your wind whispers and whistles
Petals sharp as thorns
You leave me feeling forlorn
Quiet in the dark
But still, to you I hark
You, of nature green
Not of envy, but a beautiful sheen
Bloom like no other
If only you had no lover
I will bask in you afar
Patiently watch as your personal star
I’ll feed you my light
Let you smile blindingly bright
O’ maiden of grass
Our time here was gone in a flash
But I know why that is.
You are of the grasses
Supernova
I am a beauty of the cosmos
Nature’s gift to the world
I make your skies blue
I can’t help that I’ll destroy you
Burning and burning forever
You keep warm by my heat
You watch from a distance; far
“Look at our little star”
I can’t be contained, I refuse
I’m a bomb waiting to go off
Soon I’ll burst, you can’t stop me
An explosive exit, just watch me
I’ll burn out just for you
Your little star has come far
Watch him turn to dust
I’m sure I won’t be discussed
You’ll be cold when I’m gone
But I can’t stick around
You’re done playing with my sol
I’ll char you black as coal
Freeform
Who am I. I blink, but are they my eyes?
If I am me, then what are these threads?
If I climb them will I find who controls me?
Or should I cut them and die free?
Can I astrally project into a better life?
Will I be able to make myself free of form
Free myself from these ventriloquisms
But still speak only in euphemisms
I’ll return to the wilds, my birth of truth
From arms of men, to trunks of trees
My skin will transform to bark, swirl in knots
Take it away, let me return to rot
I will die, perish into nothing
Let my bones melt and skin wither
Forsake human musculature
Return to earth, return to nature
Free me of form
Free me of body
Free me of mind
Free me of time
Red bird
Red bird burn, fly in flame
Sweeping, smoking, feathers
Liberated from human restraint
Become a star
You cry a beautiful song
I’d listen to you, if only you would stay
Crash on my earth, burn me down
Turn me to dust
Oh pretty thing, you shine bright
The sun cannot compare to your glory
Caw and coo, make me bleed
Kill me softly
Bathe in my blood, or my enemy’s
It’s all the same, if it will satiate you
They will run, but I will embrace
Wage war red bird
