Faces of Lake

With the new school year starting, Lake has gotten some new staff members to help make out school better. Here is a little more info on each of them:

Administration:

Mr. Webb, associate principal

In high school he tried to participate in many things as he could.

A book he would recommend would be “The circle”.

His go to snack would be chocolate covered almonds.

A person he would like to meet would be Teddy Roosevelt.

He works at lake because he wants to be part of the best community in public education.

 

Teacher(s):

Mrs. Proctor, special ed teacher

In high school she was quiet.

Her go to snack would be dark chocolate or fruit.

A person she would like to meet would be Adele.

She works at lake because she started in 2017 as a paraprofessional & now she’s excited to be returning this year as a teacher.

 

Ms. Helm, special ed teacher

In high school she found her passion for working with students with unique learning needs.

A book she would recommend would be “A little spot of feelings”

Her go to snack would be a Kit-Kat.

A person she would like to meet would be Jose Altuve.

She works at lake because she wants to giveback to the high school that provided her with foundation to further her education.

 

Mrs. Westhelle, special ed team lead

In high school she loved playing volleyball.

A book she would recommend would be “The namesake.”

Her go to snack would be Trail mix.

A person she would like to meet would be George Washington.

She works at lake because she’s excited to be at the high school level.

 

Mrs. Macik, social studies teacher

In high school she was involved in multiple things like sports teams to yearbook staff, and even Homecoming queen.

A book she would recommend would be “1984 & atomic habits”.

Her go to snack would be Diet coke.

A person she would like to meet would be Cole Hauser.

She works at lake because she hears things are better at lake.

 

Mrs. Limon, English teacher

In high school she was an athlete, played the violin, joined student council, and was senior class officer.

A book she would recommend would be “The kite runner”.

Her go to snack would be chocolate.

A person she would like to meet would be Tina Fey

She works at lake because it’s a great school.

 

Ms. Schaff, English teacher

In high school she played sports.

A book she would recommend would be “Where the crawdads sing”.

Her go to snack would be popcorn.

A person she would like to meet would be Kerri Walsh Jennings.

She works at lake because she enjoys helping those around her & growing invisibly from co-workers.

 

Mr. Whitehead, PLTW and math teacher

In high school he was in the same class as his present wife, but he didn’t like her back then.

A book he would recommend would be “Machinery’s handbook”.

His go to snack would be Lara bar.

A person he would like to meet would be Adrian Bowyer.

He works at lake because he agrees with CCISD’s vision.

 

Mr. Nichols, Band teacher

In high school he tried to do it all.

A book he would recommend would be “One minute manager meets the monkey”.

His go to snack would be Granola & Fruit.

A person he would like to meet would be Michael Jordan.

He works at lake because lake is the place to be.

 

Ms. LeVrier, science teacher

In high school she convinced her teacher to take the class to the renaissance festival & the zoo.

A book she would recommend would be The Percy Jackson series.

Her go to snack would be ritz crackers.

A person she would like to meet would be Johnny Depp.

She works at lake because she enjoys teaching & learning with students in a way that makes learning exciting.

 

Officers:

Deputy Willis, school liaison officer

In high school he played a lot of video games.

A book he would recommend would be “Discrimination & Disparities.”

His go to snack would be pretzels.

A person he would like to meet would be Stan Lee.

He works at lake because school safety is important to him.
