The Clear Lake Falcons cruised past the Channelview Falcons Friday night 42-21. The game took place at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The game was a tale of two halves, with Channelview keeping the game within a score going into halftime 22-14. Lake took over in the second half, outscoring Channelview 20-7.

Penalties were an issue for both teams, with multiple unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in the first half.

Junior QB Devin Lippold struggled, going 9-17 for 116 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

However, the performance was enough for Lake to get the win.

Junior RB Elijah Harris saw a heavy workload Friday night, carrying the ball 25 times for 94 yards.

The highlight of the night for Harris was a 43-yard TD reception.

On the receiving end, Senior WR Broderick Johnson hauled in four receptions for 42 yards.

Senior Rodney Searles II recorded three receptions for 34 yards.

The defense was dominate, with Lake forcing two fumbles while sacking the quarterback twice.

With the win, Lake moves to 3-1 on the season while Channelview falls to 2-2.

Lake will enjoy a bye week, before beginning conference play with a road game vs Clear Creek before the homecoming game against Brook.
