On Sept. 12, Zendaya makes history as the first black women to ever win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series twice. She also made history as the youngest actress to ever win an Emmy two times. The drama series Zendaya won her second Outstanding Lead Actress is HBO Max hit show “Euphoria”. Zendaya expressed how thankful she was for the cast and crew and to those sharing their stories with addiction.

On the same day was actually National Encouragement Day. They day is dedicated to having a positive influence on those around you and on yourself. On National Encouragement day you’re supposed to make someone’s day better by doing something small but impactful, like smiling at them in the hallway, or holding a door open. The mission is to normalize positivity and encouragement year-round. It was established on the day after an American tragedy to help bring people together in their communities, which is why Sept. 12 is also a day recognizes to mourn those killed or harmed on 9/11.

A national day recognized for mourning will be held on the day the queen’s body lands in London. The original plan for the queen’s body was to have her transported back on the royal train because she died in Balmoral, Scotland. They changed to the Queen Elizabeth being flown back home to London. Her funeral was held this Sunday, Sept. 19 at Westminster Abbey. There was a national two minutes of silence at midday to honor her late majesty. Sept. 19 will now be a holiday in all of the United Kingdom (England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Scotland.) All school will be closed on Sept. 19. As will most offices, shops, banks etc.

Sept. 19 also marked another shift in history.  A 3,300-year-old cave was found “frozen in time” in Israel. The cave was found with hidden grave goods and possibly even a human burial. The cave was found yards away form a beach south of Tel Aviv. Archaeologist found dozens of pottery vessels, including shallow bowls, as well as chalices, cooking pots and even lamps. Archaeologist say some of the cave craft weren’t local to the area. The cave also contained bronze arrowhead that were likely in a quiver that decomposed due to time. Archaeologist are just beginning to analyze the caves uniqueness. This cave archaeologist could been way to history that was lost with time.
