Smile Review

Alex Fabian Garcia, Reporter

Smile is a new horror movie in theaters, distributed by Paramount Pictures. It was frightening for many, even for the most horror loving fans. The movie is based upon Parker Finn’s book, “Laura hasn’t slept.” Smile follows the frightening storyline of Dr. Rose Cotter (Sosie Bacon), a therapist who begins to have nature defying experiences after a failed traumatic attempt to help a patient, Laura (Caitlin Stasey). The movie takes you through the journey of Dr. Rose Cotters realization that the only hope she has at survival is to face the demons from her past.

Opinion:

It was scary for me, but I think it was brilliant how Parker Finn took such a symbol for happiness as well as joy and turned it into something so twisted and dark. It was really good. I also really recommend watching “Laura hasn’t slept,” since it tells the story of Laura Weaver and her point of view.
