Love is a beautiful feeling we present each and every day to those we love most. However, the singular day out of the year in which we celebrate this love and affection to its extreme extent is known as Valentine’s Day. On Feb. 14, couples tend to spend a morning, evening, or even entire day cherishing each other’s presence and looking back on the past and present memories they take pride in.  

High school is an overwhelming part of our lives in which we tend to spend a large majority of our time focusing on our classes. Balancing school and a relationship can be tough and sometimes seem impossible, however the following teenage couple managed to stick by each other’s sides for years and have no plan of discontinuing this love. 

Addiysn Williams and Jack Hammock have been together for almost four years. To be exact, they have been together for three years and nine months. They both claim that many key aspects and lessons have been revealed over the years which have turned out to be crucial parts in keeping their relationship healthy. 

What would you say the key secret to a healthy relationship is? 

Addisyn: “Communication! Being able to communicate anything and everything to your partner is crucial to making a relationship last.” 

Jack: “Communication and addressing issues is one of the best ways to keep a healthy relationship due to the fact that leaving issues alone will only cause more issues and frustration.” 

What is something important you have learned from your relationship? 

Addisyn: “I have learned who I am and the individual I intend to become. Jack has helped me realize what my strengths and weaknesses are as a person.” 

Jack: “I’ve learned that dance is definitely a sport, contrary to what I used to think, because she puts a lot of time and effort into her performance and really cares about flairs.” 

What is something everyone should be aware of regarding relationships? 

Addisyn: “Don’t take it so seriously! Jack and I joke with each other 24/7 and it makes our relationship 10x more fun.” 

Jack: “It is extremely important to be patient in relationships because being impatient can lead to pointless frustration.” 

There are many times where personal lives can become so busy that it is a forgotten thought to tell your partner how appreciated and loved they are by you. It is important to partake in different activities and hobbies to keep the fun and spark alive in a relationship.  

 What is your favorite thing about your partner? 

Addisyn: “I love Jacks personality. He is very hardworking in everything he does which I greatly admire.” 

Jack: “I love her sense of humor. It never fails to cheer me up no matter how I’m feeling.” 

If you could let your partner know anything at all, what would it be? 

Addisyn: “I would let Jack know that I’m so grateful for everything he’s done for me.” 

Jack: “I would let her know that I’m always going to be here to support her because shes always been there for me.” 

What is something you and your partner enjoy doing together? 

Addisyn: “Currently, Jack and I enjoy going to Fiiz Drinks in League City! We go to Fiiz at least  once a week because we love trying new things.” 

Jack: “We typically enjoy watching different tv shows together because it’s a relaxing thing that we can both do.” 

It is clear that Addisyn and Jack have sustained a healthy relationship with much hard work. This Valentines Day, we will cherish not just each other’s relationships, but the hard work that was put in them to get to a point of bliss.
