in 2021, Marvel officially launched its original tv series. It began with the release of WandaVision and was followed by Falcon and the Winter Solider, Loki, Hawkeye and more. While many of these series were one season shows, this spooky season, Loki, the god of mischief is making his return.
Loki first debuted as a villain in the 2011 Thor film as the clever, cunning villain, and ever since, he has become a beloved, fan favorite character, so much so that on June 9 of 2021, the antihero got his own personal show. The first season was comprised of 6 episodes. It follows Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and his journey through the TVA, a timeline preservation agency, that has more than a few secrets.
Season one of Loki ended with Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) killing He who Remains and sending Loki back in time. Season two of the Loki, picks up right where season one left off. Loki is back at the TVA but is stuck jumping between timelines. He looks for Sylvie, and tries to warn Mobius (Owen Willson), and those who remain at the TVA about the dangers that are headed their way.
I think that this episode of Loki was good, but it left viewers with more questions than answers. Nothing was really established about the threats that are ahead. I don’t think that it was the best episode, but I look forward to what will come in the next episodes.
