Seniors, 2025- 2026 prom season has officially taken place on Saturday April 18. Lanterns over the Lake shined across all the students that night as they danced and enjoyed the night away.
This year’s prom took place at Moody Gardens with different pieces of fun that the students could enjoy. From catering foods to taking pictures at the photobooth, students had a lot of goods to enjoy from.
Many students could debate what they’re favorite part was, but the true best part of prom is what’s been next to you all the school year.
“For me, hanging out with my friends was one of the best things,” senior Alessandro Brito said.
Now the moment we we’re all anticipating for, who won prom king and queen? And seniors your prom king and queen this year are Alessandro Brito and Hannah Sultando.
“Honestly, I was a little surprised. And before I won, there was a lot of people who came up to me like, oh I voted for you,” Brito said.
For many, it was the last time they would be able to celebrate with they’re friends and peers before their last year of high school.
“I think my favorite part was when they played the last song. “…”We were looking into each other’s eyes. She was my date to prom. And we just started bursting out into tears because I was like, wow life is never going to be like this,” Brito said.
And for those underclassmen debating on whether to attend their future proms or not, well I would re- think your choice if you’re not planning on attending.
“100% because I think for me, okay they’re talking about, oh, will you regret not going or will you regret what? I would rather regret going than not going. “, Brito said.
Congratulations to the seniors graduating and hope they had a special prom to remember how great high school was in their future to come. “…I think for me, it was the friends that made my prom so special. But even if you don’t, you can still socialize, have a good time, go on the dance floor, do your thing,” Brito said.
